The below departments or agencies have programs that will pay for many of our services. These programs have qualifying criteria and each department or agency determines the “plan of care.”
Qualifying individuals are welcome to select Independent Life to provide the care as Independent Life is a provider under all these programs. All of these programs may take several weeks or months to get into place. Families, clients and care recipients are able to utilize our services on a private duty or private pay basis until their particular program starts.

The State of Nevada also offers the Home and Department of Aging Community Based Waiver (HCBW formerly CHIP). Ask about eligibility and specifically the Personal Care Services program.
State of Nevada WIN Program

This State of Nevada program is specially designed for individuals with physical disabilities and under the age of 64. Ask about eligibility and specifically the Personal Care Services program.
Respite Voucher Programs

These two organizations award “respite” care vouchers that can be used to pay of our services. They distribute these twice a year and the recipients have six months to use the funds. Ask to be mailed an application for the Respite Voucher Program.

Veterans Programs
Veterans Home Care

This business assists veterans and spouses obtain the special VA pension of “Aid and Attendance”. This pension is available to pay for Independent Life services.
Independent Life is a subcontractor for Veterans Home Care; it is our caregivers providing the care.

The VA also has their Homemaker and Respite programs which pay for many of our services. The VA has asked Independent Life to be a provider under these programs. We currently assist over 150 Veterans in these programs. Contact your Primary Care Physician regarding the Homemaker and Respite Programs

They have both inpatient and outpatient capabilities and services are covered by Medicare.
